It was a freezing cold night in January, but it was HAWT upstairs at Gabe’s. I was treated to a night of good Jewish (and everybody else) jokes, burlesque and other foxy talents while I sipped on my drink and snapped photos.
There was stand-up comedy, singing, dancing, some heavy-duty Lady Gaga parodying, pasties and thigh highs. As you may expect, there were a few yamakas in the audience – likely a first for Gabe’s. It was also the most generationally diverse crowd I think I’ve seen there. There were plenty of laughs, plenty of drinks and more than the usual share of gefilte fish – which was happily consumed by an audience member. This was a fun show and I’d like to see these ladies come back our way.
